We Love Wine! (The Autumn Colour Trend...)
Autumn is the time to invest in a brand new coat, some trusty boots and a sturdy handbag... (Big enough for a brolly, some tissues for the inevitable cold and some spare socks of course!)
Autumn is also the perfect time to make that transition from fruity, floral summer fragrances into the warm, woody perfumes to suit the season just nicely.
We'd recommend choosing a scent with lots of warm woods like sandalwood and watch for warming notes like musk and cinnamon. These will compliment your new style down to a tee! Not only this but these types of notes last so much longer on your skin, you'll still be able to smell the lingering earthy notes after your dinner!
Malabah by Penhaligon's
"Inspired by a journey to a mysterious land, Malabah features an exotic array of notes which conjures up the mysteries of Asia. The sharp aroma of lemon opens the fragrance, followed by an intoxicating mix of earl grey, ginger and nutmeg. A more traditional base of earthy musk and sandalwood closes the fragrance, adding luxury and depth to the scent."
We also adore YSL Manifesto.
"Launched in 2012, Manifesto is a fragrance which perfectly embodies the brand's colourful exuberance and high fashion style. This includes a vibrant opening of zesty bergamot and blackcurrant, which then unveils a tender heart of jasmine and lily of the valley before finally closing with an earthy blend of sandalwood and cedar alongside creamy vanilla."
Already stocked up on perfume for the month? (not that you can ever have too many!...)
Try transitioning into Autumn using earthy wine colours.
This Clarins lipstick is one of the best we've ever tried!
"This wonderfully versatile product combines the key features from the Clarins lip range to produce a product that has the shape and glide of a lipstick, the transparency of a lip gloss and the comfort and protection of a traditional balm."
