Five Steps to Perfect Eyeshadow Blending
Eyeshadow blending? It's a doddle! No really.... it is! You don't need to a beauty pro - We've put it down to five easy steps for you. Get your best brushes out ladies, prepare your steady hands...
Use a black medium pencil, like Chanel eyeliner Noir No.10 and glide along the upper socket line, then buff with a good quality eyeshadow. We recommend Chanel eyeshadow Ombre. Brush to create a soft, diffused line.
If you’re in a hurry, you could even rock this look on its own without all the other steps!
Get a pale powder eye shadow (we recommend something neutral like this £4 Maybelline mono) and gently press it to the centre of the eye lid. Blend underneath the brow bone, this will act as a subtle highlighter.
With a charcoal black powder eye shadow (try this Chanel quad) build over the pencil line you worked in step one. Work outwards and upwards. Take a blending brush and blend the two powder eye shadows together. Make sure there are no sharp lines!
Mix a sealing gel with your black eyeshadow to create an intense, water-resistant paste. Get a sharp angled eyeliner brush, apply the paste in a fine line along the upper lash line as a liquid eyeliner.
Finish the look with a line of Chanel eyeliner pencil along the lower lash line. Finish with a healthy coating of black mascara in (we adore this Lancome extreme Hypnose ) and finally, apply your favourite lashes for a full effect. We recommend these Candy Kitten lashes for just £4.99.
